Workshop:
Star-Planet Interactions and Aeronomy.
Let's talk about physics!
The workshop aims to summarize the current understanding in the topic of star-planet interactions and aeronomy (including atmospheric chemistry, magnetism, tides, etc.) and help define priorities and future interdisciplinary steps.

The workshop will take place at the hotel Chateaubriand inside the old city of Saint-Malo, France, from 25th to 29th November.

Rationale
Exoplanet science is undergoing a revolution, driven by the exquisite-quality observations that are being amassed by telescopes both in space (e.g. JWST) and on the ground and across the electromagnetic spectrum. As new facilities are being built (e.g. PLATO, ARIEL, the E-ELTs), it is clear that many discoveries will be made in the coming years. Insight into this rich information requires comprehensive physics-based approaches. The workshop is conceived to report on recent and ongoing developments in our understanding of star-planet interactions and aeronomy. These themes have major implications on the way we understand the exoplanets and their stellar environments, since formation and through all their evolutionary stages. The workshop aims to share the knowledge on these subjects amongst the exoplanet community, preparing us for the exciting challenges ahead.
